LEIGHA

An avid world traveler since age 14, Leigha always incorporates her love of fitness wherever she travels.

Churup Lake

Leigha has been a fitness trainer since 2004 (ASFA certified), and a RYT yoga instructor since 2000. She trained in Thai Yoga Massage at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara in 2007, and has taught fitness classes for the past decade.   While earning her master's degree in Linguistics, she taught bilingual yoga and fitness classes in Salt Lake City. Fortunate enough to have worked in the fitness industry from Amsterdam and Czech Republic, to Argentina, she instructs various formats - TRX, Bootcamp, Cardio Challenge, HIIT, Water Conditioning, Core Conditioning, Yoga Sculpt, and Bosu.  Leigha's philosophy is that fitness and fun go hand in hand, and she has incorporated this idea into corporate fitness programs that include simple outdoor activities during work breaks. Currently, Leigha is a trainer and yoga therapist at the leading Bariatric surgical clinic in Salt Lake City, often taking her patients outdoors to spark their motivation to exercise. In addition to fitness, speaking Spanish and living in Latin America are Leigha's passions since the first time she studied in Buenos Aires in 2001. Since then she has traveled to Latin America multiple times, exploring culture while always incorporating fitness into her travels. Leigha created Fit For Travel to share her love of fitness and travel with others.
